Why I became an Osteopath

I became an osteopath following a rock-climbing fall.  When conventional medicines failed to help with my subsequent chronic low-back pain, treatment by an osteopath helped reduce my symptoms significantly and permanently, and improved my mobility. The promotion of health through movement and balance made sense to me, addressing causes not symptoms.  It was enough for me to change my career and train as an osteopath.  I still believe passionately that the role of the osteopath is the promotion of health.
